Scheduling your yearly eye exam is important. Eye exams are not only used to determine your need for glasses or contacts but are helpful in catching more truamatic disorders and diseases such as Glaucoma or Macular Degeneration.

Custom Fittings

At Mesquite Eye Associates we offer custom fittings for both frames and contacts. Your eyes are as unique as your fingerprints and it is important to us that your frames and/or contacts fit in such a way that you won't remember they are there.


At Mesquite Eye Associates your future eye health is as important as your present eye health. We want to help prevent future problems by properly diagnosing and developing a plan of treatment when needed.

Dr. Karl Kutch

Dr. Kutch Dr. Karl Kutch, founder and president of Mesquite Eye Associate, has been providing advanced eye care for seniors in Mesquite and East Texas for over 20 years. Dr. Kutch began his patient care career in a surgical group practice specializing in cataracts and retinal disease. His interest and experience in treating ocular pathology has won him the Mesquite News "Best Optometrist" award many times over. He has also been recognized in "Who's Who in the South and Southwest". Dr. Kutch enjoys giving back to the Mesquite community and has served as a member of Mesquite Host Lions Club for 12 years, in addition to serving as Director for the Lions Sight and Tissue Board. providing eyecare for indigent children of Mesquite. He has served as Director for the Dallas/Ft. Worth Optometric Society, Treasurer for the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Mesquite Airport Board, and Chairman of the Mesquite Planning and Zoning Commission.


Dr. Kutch is also a devoted father of two children, Kelly and Kevin, and husband to Dr. Denise Kutch, who acts as Assistant Superintendent of Mesquite ISD. Dr. Kutch is involved with Mesquite Softball and Baseball and his hobbies include fishing, hunting, and coaching baseball.



Dr. Suzan Park

Dr. Suzan Park is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, who joined the staff of Mesquite Eye Associates in 2007.  She attended Baylor University, where she obtained a bachelors degree in biology with minors in chemistry and sociology.  She then graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry with a doctor of optometry degree and was the 2007 recipient of the Alcon Case Study award.  She is currently a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.  Dr. Park is originally from the Dallas area and is dedicated to serving the eye care needs of her community.  Since becoming an optometrist, she has actively participated in elementary school health and career fairs in the Mesquite area.
